The short answer
Growth Informer Software Services is a website design company in Kampala that builds business websites, online stores and corporate sites for owners in Kampala, Wakiso, Mukono and Entebbe. You brief us on WhatsApp, we meet you in person to agree the scope, and you get a fixed quote in writing before any work starts. You pay on a 50/25/25 plan and own the source code and data when we hand over. Business websites start from UGX 1,000,000, and the table further down shows how the other types of site compare.
What should separate one web design company in Kampala from the next is proof you can open and code you keep. Our 37 live builds include a WhatsApp ordering site for a Kampala coffee house, a safari operator site that takes deposits online and a property platform covering Kampala, Wakiso and Mukono. If you only need to show up on Google Maps this month, a free Google Business Profile may be enough for now. If you need a site that brings enquiries from people searching by area and takes MTN MoMo or Airtel Money payments, that is the work we do.
Meet us in person, wherever in greater Kampala you trade
Most website delays in Kampala are not technical. They come from photos that never arrive, copy nobody signed off and a goal that changes halfway through. That is why the first meeting happens in person, at your office, shop, clinic or site, and why it ends with four things written down: the pages, the one action the site must drive, who supplies which photos and text, and which payments you need to take. We come to you, so you do not lose half a day in traffic to reach us.
Areas where we meet in person:
- Central Kampala: Nakasero, Kololo, Kampala Road, Industrial Area and the downtown trading streets.
- Kampala suburbs: Ntinda, Bukoto, Naguru, Bugolobi, Muyenga, Kansanga and Makindye.
- Wakiso: Kira Municipality including Najjera and Namugongo, Nansana, Wakiso town and Kajjansi on the Kampala to Entebbe road.
- Mukono: Mukono town, Seeta and the businesses along the Kampala to Jinja highway.
- Entebbe: hotels, tour operators, schools and shops in Entebbe town.
Customers in these areas often search by town rather than by city, so we write the areas you actually serve into your pages and keep them consistent with your Google Business Profile. Outside greater Kampala we build the same way, with calls, WhatsApp updates and review links in place of meetings. Our web design in Uganda page covers how that works across the country.
Kampala websites already live, not mockups
Before you pay any website design company in Kampala, open their work on your own phone. Ours is in the portfolio: 37 live website and app builds, most with a link you can open. Five that match what Kampala owners usually ask for:
- Silverback Coffee House: a food ordering site for a Kampala coffee house, with WhatsApp ordering from pre-filled carts and delivery zones.
- Hausblick Realty: a property platform for Kampala, Wakiso and Mukono with verified agents, property listings and site visits booked online.
- Acmetop Uganda: an editorial-style site for a Kampala supplier of agricultural systems, heavy pumps, mining machinery and water systems.
- Achieve Global Safaris: a Kampala safari operator site built around packaged trips and gorilla trekking, with online payment for deposits.
- Kampala Waste Consortium: a corporate site for the Kampala Solid Waste Management Consortium, with a fleet showcase and health, safety and environment sections.
Behind the websites sits our own product work: Growth Informer Business, our live cloud POS, inventory and business platform, and Moyo Pay, our dual-currency wallet on a double-entry ledger with Mobile Money and USSD. Building those is why taking MTN MoMo and Airtel Money deposits or orders on a website is routine work for us rather than an experiment.
A quick test for any web design company in Kampala: ask for three live links and open them on a mid-range Android phone over mobile data. Screenshots and mockups prove nothing.

What website design in Kampala costs
Every Kampala project gets a fixed quote in writing before any work starts. Business websites start from UGX 1,000,000; the other types are quoted per project. Where your quote lands inside that range depends on four things: how many pages you need, whether we write the copy or you supply it, how many products go into a store, and whether the site takes Mobile Money or card payments.
| Type of website | Price | Good fit for |
|---|---|---|
| Landing page: one page, one offer, WhatsApp and call buttons | Below a business website, quoted fixed | A single service, an event or an ad campaign |
| Business website: core pages, conversion copy, WhatsApp capture and an SEO foundation | From UGX 1,000,000 | Clinics, schools, law firms, contractors and most service businesses |
| E-commerce website: product catalogue, cart, Mobile Money and card payments | Quoted per project: products and payments | Shops and suppliers that sell and deliver around Kampala |
| Corporate website: more pages, several departments or projects, a news section | Quoted per project: pages and departments | Companies, NGOs, associations and consortiums |
How you pay
- 50% to start, once the scope and quote are agreed.
- 25% at review, when you click through the working site on your phone.
- 25% at launch, with full handover of the source code, content and data.
Domain, hosting and ongoing care are quoted separately, so nothing is hidden inside the build price. If another quote around town is far lower, check whether it includes copywriting, payment integration and handover of the code. Our guide to what a website costs in Uganda breaks down each cost line.
From first WhatsApp message to launch
1. Brief on WhatsApp
Send your business name and town, what you sell, who buys it and the one action visitors should take: call, book, order or pay. Add links to two or three sites you like, even if they are from another industry.
2. Meet and scope
We meet at your premises in Kampala, Wakiso, Mukono or Entebbe, agree the pages and the goal of the site, and list the photos and text you will supply. You then receive a fixed quote and timeline in writing.
3. Design and build
After the 50% deposit we write the copy with you, design first for mid-range Android phones on mobile data, and send progress updates on WhatsApp every week. If you take payments, we connect MTN MoMo and Airtel Money through a payment provider, plus cards where you need them.
4. Review on your phone
You click through the working site on your own phone, we fix what needs fixing, and the 25% review payment falls due. A business website usually reaches this point 2 to 4 weeks after your content is ready. An online store takes 4 to 8 weeks.
5. Launch and get found
We go live with page titles, a sitemap, schema markup and your Google Business Profile linked, then hand over the code, content and data. Climbing into the Kampala map results is ongoing work, and that is what our SEO services in Kampala cover.
When a new website is the wrong spend
We would rather lose a sale than sell you the wrong thing. Check where your business is first:
- No customers yet and little cash: start with a free Google Business Profile and a WhatsApp Business catalogue, then build a website once people are asking for your prices.
- You want a site live by tomorrow: a template builder will be faster. A site that ranks and converts needs copy, photos and a review round.
- One small change on an existing site: a freelancer may be cheaper for small jobs. Our guide on freelancer vs agency sets out the trade-offs.
- Your real problem is stock, sales records or staff: a website will not fix that. A business system will, and our page on POS and inventory systems in Uganda is the better place to start.
If you are past those points, the reason to start now is time. A business website needs 2 to 4 weeks after your content is ready, so a site you want live before the next school term, holiday season or trade fair needs its brief at least a month before that date. The first step is one WhatsApp message.
Frequently asked questions
How much does website design cost in Kampala?
A business website with us starts from UGX 1,000,000. A one-page landing page costs less, and online stores and corporate sites cost more because of products, payments and page count. Every project gets a fixed quote in writing before work starts, paid 50% to start, 25% at review and 25% at launch.
Can I meet your team in person in Kampala?
Yes. After a first message on WhatsApp we meet at your office, shop or site in Kampala, Wakiso, Mukono or Entebbe to agree the pages, the goal of the website and the content you will supply. We come to you, so there is no need to travel into town.
Do you design websites for businesses in Mukono and Entebbe?
Yes. Businesses in Mukono town, Seeta, Entebbe and Wakiso areas such as Kira, Nansana and Kajjansi get the same service as central Kampala: an in-person meeting, a fixed quote and weekly progress updates on WhatsApp. We also write the towns you serve into your pages, so people searching by area can find you.
How long does it take to build a business website?
A business website usually takes 2 to 4 weeks once your photos and text are ready, and an online store takes 4 to 8 weeks. The most common delay is waiting on content, so we agree who supplies what at the first meeting.
Who owns the website when it is finished?
You do. You own the source code, content and data, and everything is handed over at launch. You can keep us for ongoing care or move to another provider whenever you choose.
