Who we are
This website belongs to Growth Informer Software Services, a US-based company with remote teams around the world, including a team in Kampala, Uganda. For privacy questions, write to support@growthinformersoftwareservices.com.
What we collect, and how
What you type into our forms
Our forms ask for details such as your name, email address, WhatsApp number, business and project details. When you send a form, your answers go to a script on our own server (/api/lead.php). The script saves them in a file on the server, in a folder outside the public web folder, and emails them to our support inbox. We use them to reply to you.
The longer forms have more than one step. Once you pass the contact step, we receive what you have entered so far, even if you do not finish. We may message you on WhatsApp or by email to help you finish.
Each saved enquiry also records the time, the page you were on, and a short label for how you found us, such as a campaign name or a search engine. The label holds no personal details.
Your IP address
To stop one visitor sending a flood of forms, the script counts requests per visitor. It does this with a scrambled code made from your IP address (a salted hash), not the address itself. We do not put your IP address in the enquiry record. Like most websites, our web host may also keep ordinary technical server logs.
WhatsApp and email
Many buttons and some forms open WhatsApp or your email app with a message already written. The message can end with a short reference block: the page you were on, the price region shown to you, and the campaign or site that sent you. It holds no names, emails or phone numbers. You can change or delete the message before you send it. Once you send it, WhatsApp or your email provider handles it under its own policy.
What your browser keeps
- Session storage. After you send a form, your answers are held in your browser tab so the thank-you page can show them. They do not go in the web address. Session storage lives only in that tab and is removed when you close it.
- Local storage. A few small notes stay on your device: the first campaign or site that brought you here, your price region or currency, a country you pick on an offer page, and your place in our tutorials. They are not sent to us on their own.
Analytics and ad tags
We use these services to see how the site is used and whether our ads work. They set cookies or similar identifiers and receive information about your visit, such as pages viewed, device and browser, and approximate location.
- Google Analytics 4. Counts visits and events such as form starts and WhatsApp taps.
- Google Ads conversion tags. Show Google whether an ad click led to an enquiry.
- Microsoft Clarity. Records how people move around pages, as replays and heatmaps. We use it with masking, so what you type into our forms is hidden from the replays.
- Meta Pixel. Reports page views and events such as form starts and WhatsApp taps to Meta, for our Facebook and Instagram ads.
These providers handle the data under their own policies. See how Google uses data from sites like ours and Microsoft's Clarity privacy disclosure. You can limit them with your browser settings, a content blocker, or Google's opt-out add-on.
Why we use your information
- To answer you, send a quote and do the work you ask for.
- To follow up an enquiry you started.
- To measure the site and our ads, and improve both.
- To keep business and tax records and to meet the law.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We use service providers to run the site and the business: our web host and email provider, WhatsApp and Meta, Google and Microsoft (see above). We may share information with advisers, or with a court or authority, when the law requires it. Our team works in more than one country, so information can be handled outside the country you are in.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for as long as we need them to reply, do the work and keep proper business and tax records. After that we delete them or remove what identifies you. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email support@growthinformersoftwareservices.com, use the subject Privacy request, and say what you want. We may need to confirm it is you. We will keep what the law requires us to keep.
The law we follow
We follow Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 where it applies to us. We make no claim of registration with any regulator.
Other points
- Security. Saved enquiries sit outside the public web folder of our server. No method of storage is perfectly secure.
- Children. Our services are for businesses. This site is not aimed at children.
- Other sites. Links to other sites, such as URA, are outside our control. Their policies apply there.
- Changes. We will change this page when our practices change, and update the review date above.
