Travellers are still searching.
A few operators take the bookings.

Demand for East African safaris hasn't dried up. It has concentrated. A handful of operators take most of the inquiries, while rankings that used to work quietly stopped and ad budgets stopped producing. The Direct Booking System is how you take your share back.

Where your bookings actually go

Four places a booking
gets lost

The demand is real and it is already searching. Almost every operator we look at loses it at one of these four points, and all four are fixable.

1

You stopped showing up

A couple in London types "gorilla trekking safari" and books within a fortnight. The same three operators appear every time. Your site used to be there, or never was. Either way nobody is winning that search on your behalf today. This is the leak most operators mistake for "there is no demand".

2

Found, but not trusted

A traveller in Denver has never heard of you and is about to send thousands of dollars to a company in East Africa. Your site is a brochure: no prices, no faces, no proof, slow on a phone. They leave and book the operator who felt safer.

3

The slow reply

An inquiry lands on Friday evening and gets answered Monday afternoon. By then the traveller has three quotes from operators who replied the same morning. In the teardowns we run, this is the leak we find most often, and the most expensive one to leave open.

4

One quote, then silence

You send a beautiful itinerary PDF and never follow up. They were interested, they got busy, and nobody chased. The booking goes to whoever was still there in week two.

Before you say it

You already have
a website.

So does nearly every operator we speak to. Photos, a contact form, a WhatsApp button, maybe even a booking engine. And they are still losing trips to operators whose sites look worse than theirs.

Having the parts is not the same as the parts working. A form that collects a name is not a form that produces a bookable inquiry. A WhatsApp button nobody is watching on a Sunday is a leak wearing the costume of a feature. None of it is measured, so none of it can be fixed.

Most of our clients don't get a new website. They get the leaks closed. The teardown decides which you need, and if the honest answer is "almost nothing", we'll tell you that.

Not features. Changes.

What we actually change

Three parts, sold as one system, because fixing one and leaving the other two broken changes nothing. Here is the before and after of each.

PART 01

Get in front of the search

Either you are not bidding at all, or you are paying to be found by people who were never going to book.

  • Invisible on the searches that decide the bookingYour trips in front of US, UK and EU travellers at the moment they are planning, presence-only targeting
  • Paying for students, job seekers and locals wanting directionsA negative keyword list built on day one. On these campaigns it is more of the work than the keywords are
  • "Conversions" that are page viewsInquiries, calls and WhatsApp clicks tracked as real conversions, so spend follows bookings
  • An agency holding your ad budgetYou pay Google directly, in your own account, in your name. We never touch the money
Closes leak 1
PART 02

The site you already have, fixed

We rarely rebuild from scratch. We find what is leaking and close it.

  • A contact form that collects a name and a messageA form that captures dates, party size and budget band, so your first reply can carry a real price instead of four more questions
  • Beautiful photosProof a stranger can verify: named guides, licence and association numbers, a visible response promise
  • "It looks fine on my laptop"Tested on a mid-range Android on real 4G, which is where your buyers actually open it
  • Prices hidden to "start a conversation"Clear "from" bands that filter out the people who were never going to book
  • A WhatsApp buttonA WhatsApp button you can measure, so you know which trips it produces
Closes leak 2
PART 03

The inbox that closes

The part no agency sells you, because it is not billable software. It is also the part that moves your close rate fastest.

  • Replying when you get a momentA one-hour reply standard, and a workable system for hitting it on a Sunday
  • A friendly reply that asks four questionsA first reply that answers, qualifies and proposes a next step in one message
  • Send the itinerary PDF and hopeA multi-touch follow-up sequence written around your actual trips
  • Discounting when they hesitateHandling price, safety and permit objections without cutting your margin
  • Nobody knows if the team is doing itWe read your real threads and mark the misses, monthly

The Booking Teardown

Before you spend anything, we show you the problem. We mystery shop your own funnel exactly as a traveller would, then send you the video.

We become a traveller

We search the way your buyers search and see whether you appear at all. Then we send a real inquiry through your site, time how long the reply takes, open your pages on a phone and check your Google Business Profile.

We find the three biggest leaks

Not a list of forty nitpicks. The three things costing you the most bookings, shown on screen with your own website and your own reply times.

You get the video

A short, honest walkthrough on your WhatsApp within 2 working days. There is no pitch in it. Yours to keep and act on, whether you ever work with us or not.

Honest qualification

Who this is for

We would rather tell you now than take your money and disappoint you in month three.

This is for you if

  • You run a safari company, tour operation, lodge, hotel or camp in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania or Rwanda
  • You sell to US, UK or EU travellers
  • Your inquiries have dried up, flatlined, or never really started
  • You are paying OTA commission and want a channel you own
  • You can fund a monthly ad budget alongside the fee
  • You or your team can commit to replying to inquiries fast

This is not for you if

  • You want bookings next week. Month one is build, month three is the verdict
  • You want us to answer your inquiries for you. We train the inbox, we do not staff it
  • You sell mainly to local or corporate clients, not international travellers
  • You are not willing to show prices or reply within a day
  • You want the cheapest website in Kampala. That is a different purchase

Questions, answered

Before you ask

What exactly is a Booking Teardown?

A short video where we mystery shop your own funnel. We search the way your travellers search to see whether you appear at all, send a real inquiry, time your reply, test your site on a phone, and check your Google Business Profile and booking path. Then we show you the three places you are losing bookings. It is free, it lands on your WhatsApp within 2 working days, and there is no pitch in it. The video is yours whether you hire us or not.

Do I have to stop using TripAdvisor, Viator or SafariBookings?

No. OTAs are useful, they are just expensive. This builds the channel you own alongside them, so a growing share of your bookings arrive without commission. Most operators keep their listings and simply stop depending on them.

Our Google rankings used to bring inquiries. Why did that stop?

Usually three things at once. AI answers now sit above the results and absorb clicks that used to reach you. Booking aggregators and larger international operators have invested heavily in content and pushed page one further out of reach. And most operator sites have not been meaningfully updated in years, so the authority quietly moved elsewhere. It is rarely a penalty. It is erosion, it is reversible, and it is not fixed by adding more blog posts.

We already run Google Ads and they are not producing. Why would yours be different?

In the accounts we open, the same three faults keep appearing: broad match with no negative keyword list, so budget goes on students, job seekers and people looking for directions; traffic sent to a home page instead of the page about the trip they actually searched for; and conversions either untracked or counting page views, which means Google has been optimising for the wrong outcome the whole time. Until those are fixed, more budget just buys more of the same. The teardown will show you which of the three is costing you most.

How much does it cost?

There is a setup investment and a monthly management fee, and the ad budget is paid by you directly to Google, never through us. The exact figure depends on which tier fits your operation, which is what the teardown establishes. You get a fixed quote before any work starts.

How long before I see results?

Month one is build and data. Month two is optimisation. Month three is the honest verdict. Anyone promising bookings in week one is selling something that will not last. The fastest change is usually your reply speed, which is exactly why the sales training is part of the system rather than an add-on.

Who owns the website and the ad account?

You do. Site, domain, hosting and Google Ads account are all in your name from day one. If you ever leave, you leave with the asset. We never hold your ad budget.

We already have a website. Do we need a new one?

Not always. If your site is structurally sound we retrofit it, which is what the Leak Fix tier is for. The teardown tells us honestly which of the two you need, and we will say so even when a retrofit is the smaller job.
