The short answer
Growth Informer Software Services designs and builds websites for small and mid-size businesses in Europe on a fixed quote, shown in euros. We are a US-based company with remote teams, including a team in Kampala, Uganda. The European basics are in the quote from day one: a cookie consent banner and privacy notice, an imprint page where your country expects one, a version for each language, and hosting in the EU.
What we offer is affordability with continuity, not "cheapest". You get senior engineers, a quote fixed before work starts, a 50/25/25 payment plan, and ownership of your code and data. Our Kampala team works East Africa Time (UTC+3), so its day overlaps the European working day, and a US team member joins client video calls. If your business is in Britain, see website design for the UK.
Local agency or offshore freelancer: the real trade-off
Most small European businesses end up choosing between two things, and both have a genuine case.
What a local agency does well
A local agency is in your city, writes in your language by default and knows your national habits. You can sit in a room together. For that you usually pay local salaries and office costs, so the quote is higher.
Where offshore freelancers go wrong
A freelancer is often the cheapest line on the spreadsheet. The risks are practical rather than moral: one person holds all the knowledge, availability changes, a time zone gap can leave you waiting a day for every answer, and when they move on, nobody can explain how the site was built.
Where we sit
Our build team is remote, so we carry less overhead than a city agency, and a team rather than one person owns your project, documents it and stays on it after launch. We hold the line on what causes trouble later: a fixed quote, written scope, and you own the code and data. For a wider comparison, read freelancer vs agency.
What a European website needs that a generic build misses
A site built for a US audience and pointed at Europe tends to miss the same few things. We plan for them in the quote, not after launch.
- Consent that actually works. A cookie banner with Accept and Reject given equal weight, where analytics, ad pixels and embeds such as YouTube or maps stay switched off until the visitor agrees. A banner that only displays a notice while the trackers already run does not do the job.
- A privacy notice that matches the site. It names the tools the site really uses: analytics, the contact form, the booking widget, the newsletter provider. We list them for you; your adviser approves the wording.
- An imprint where your country expects one. Countries such as Germany and Austria expect an imprint page with the business identity and contact details. We build the page and link it from the footer of every page; the legal text comes from your lawyer.
- Multilingual pages. A separate address for each language, correct language tags so Google serves the right version, and a switcher that does not trap visitors on the wrong one. You supply the translated text, or we work with the translator you already use. We do not publish raw machine translation.
- Hosting in the EU. We set the site up on a host with an EU data centre, so pages load quickly for European visitors and form submissions are stored in the region. Hosting in the EU is a sensible default, not a magic compliance switch.
- Local formats. Euro prices, date formats, phone number formats and address layouts that match the country.
We are a web company, not a law firm. Have your own lawyer or data protection adviser approve the privacy notice, the imprint and, for a shop, the returns and terms pages before launch.
How the time zones and the process work in practice
Kampala is on UTC+3 all year. Central Europe is one to two hours behind it depending on the season, and the UK and Ireland are two to three hours behind, so a European office day sits inside our working day. Calls happen in European office hours with a US team member on the line, and WhatsApp (+256 702 946 946) is open for quick questions. If you also sell to American customers, our page on website design for the USA covers that side.
The sequence
- You send the brief: country, languages, and what the site must do (enquiries, bookings or a shop).
- We send a fixed quote and the timeline before any work starts.
- You pay 50/25/25 and see working previews as we go.
- We launch, hand over access, and you own the code and data.
Proof of work
There are 37 live website and app builds on our portfolio page. They include Lorato Lodges and Camping in Chobe, Botswana, with landing pages and a direct booking form, and Silverback Coffee House, built for food ordering. We do not publish traffic or booking numbers for clients' sites, so please judge the work by looking at it.
What it costs, shown in euros
Prices below are shown in euros for visitors in Europe. Each figure is a starting point: your quote fixes the exact price once we know the pages, languages and features, and every extra language is scoped in the quote. Ask us to state whether VAT is inside or on top of the figure when you request the quote.
| Package | Our price | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Landing page | One offer, one campaign, one clear call to action | |
| Business website | Services, about page, contact and enquiry forms | |
| Online shop | Selling products with online checkout | |
| Corporate website | Larger companies with many pages or departments |
Anything beyond a website, such as a booking engine, a customer portal or a back-office system, is custom work. See custom software development services.
When not to hire us
We would rather tell you now than lose your time.
- You want regular in-person workshops. A local agency in your city will serve you better than a remote team.
- A tender or contract requires a supplier registered in your country. We cannot meet that requirement.
- You need a one-page placeholder this week. A website builder template may be enough, and cheaper than any agency. See custom vs template website to judge.
- You want the lowest possible price above all else. We quote to build it properly and keep the team on it, not to win a price comparison.
If none of these apply and you want a team that answers within your working day, send us the brief.
How to start
Send us three things: the country your customers are in, the languages the site needs, and what a visitor should do on it (call, book, buy or enquire). Use the quote form on this page or message us on WhatsApp at +256 702 946 946. We reply with a fixed quote before any work begins, and nothing is built until you agree to it.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a website cost for a European business?
Our business website is , shown in euros for visitors in Europe. The exact figure is fixed in a written quote before work starts, and depends on the number of pages, languages and features.
Will my website be GDPR compliant?
We build the technical parts: a consent banner that holds back non-essential tracking until accepted, a privacy notice page, and hosting in the EU. Compliance also depends on how you use the data, so have your own lawyer or data protection adviser review the wording and your decisions. We are a web company and not a law firm.
Can you build a multilingual website?
Yes. We set up a separate address for each language, language tags and a switcher. You supply the translated text, or we work with your translator, so the copy reads naturally to a native speaker.
Can we talk during European working hours?
Yes. Our Kampala team works East Africa Time (UTC+3), so a European office day falls inside its working day, and a US team member joins client video calls. You can also reach us on WhatsApp at +256 702 946 946.
Who owns the website after it is built?
You do. The client owns the code and the data, and the quote is fixed before work starts, paid 50/25/25.
